Population Ageing and the Future of the Great Powers

Abstract

The present paper considers the impact of ageing on the future of great pow-ers. The author pays much attention to the analysis of how population ageing will affect the military potential of the great powers, and their likely strategies. One of the conclusion of the paper is that population ageing in the great powers will be a potent force for the prolongation of U.S. power dominance in the 21st century.
